笠原さんは、幼い頃から何かを作ることが大好きで、自宅でも学校でも毎日何かを作っている。彼は、動物、鳥、虫、魚、恐竜など、手のひらサイズの小さな生き物たちを、図鑑を見ながら細部にまで気を配って作っている。納得がいくものが出来上がると、宝物のように大切にしている。

Kasahara has enjoyed making things since he was a child. He still makes something at school or at home every day. He makes palm-sized creatures such as animals, birds, insects, fish, and dinosaurs with great attention to detail while looking at reference books. He treasures them when he is satisfied with the results.

日々　Daily life

現在は、ご自宅で気が向いた時に好きな動物をアルミホイルで制作している。笠原さんは、子供の頃、恐竜が好きだった。恐竜好きがキッカケで進化の過程や関連するキーワードから、色々な生物に興味は広がっていった。陸上の恐竜から両生類や爬虫類、海の恐竜から海に住む生物、翼竜から鳥へ、そして動物などへと笠原さんの興味はどんどん広がっていった。動物が大好きな笠原さんだが、特にここ2～ 3 年は、“鳥”のマイブームが来ている。
